Google Chrome HTTPS Mode feature coming soon

To surf the internet or to go inside the world of the internet, everyone needs a browser. And it doesn’t matter you are a mobile user or desktop, PC user. But here the thing is whenever you visit any website on the internet you want also want to be safe. And that’s why in a report from 9To5Google, Google is launching the Google Chrome HTTPS mode only feature.

HTTP to Google Chrome HTTPS mode

But all the other options that will be available reportedly on Chrome will be optional. And suppose you want to change that mode then Google Chrome will upgrade any website which contains HTTP to HTTPS. And this process will happen when it is available on that website.

Version Launch

So till this update, Google Chrome uses this HTTPS protocol in a default manner if any other protocol is not defined. But now this Google Chrome HTTPS mode only feature is under beta testing phase and it can be available for the end-user with version 93 or 94 of Google Chrome. So if you don’t know the full form of the HTTP protocol, let me tell you it is known as “HyperText Transfer Protocol” and S stands for Secure.

Launch Based on Operating System

And the code for this HTTPS only mode was first spotted on the Chromium Gerrit website, as per the reports. So if you are thinking about the OS, then the company can release it for Chrome OS, Android and Chrome for Web also.

The HTTPS only mode can be visible on the Google Chrome security pages section after its activation. You can easily go through the Settings >> Security >> Advanced Menu section. And it will always show you some type of notification to use the secure connection mode always. But the setting will be turned off in default.

While turning on the HTTPS mode will automatically change the protocol from HTTP to HTTPS, otherwise, it uses the by default HTTPS mode until any user did not interfere with the settings.

The HTTPS Warning for HTTPS only mode

Suppose you are hitting a website domain that does not have the HTTPS version, then in that case Google Chrome will raise an interstitial warning before opening that page of the website.
