After providing lots of extraordinary features by WhatsApp messenger, including joinable group call feature, image quality and also video quality settings before sending. This chat tech giant has also introduced many privacy and fake news related features. And now here reports are coming that users will found end-to-end encryption for local backups, and for clouds backup.
If you are not aware of this end-to-end encryption feature was started in the year of 2014. But right now this E2EE feature is in testing mode for cloud backup and will extend to local soon, as per the report.
End-to-End Encryption for Local Backups on WhatsApp
With this E2EE feature, users will be able to back up their chats on local as well as a cloud with some password or unique key. And when you need to restore your WhatsApp chats from an older device, it will ask you for the password or encryption key.
And this is how a user will be able to stop any unauthorized access to the media and chat backups. Also it is not share with any Facebook, WhatsApp or any othe part that if a user forget the password or access key then it will not get back.
